Why am I running?

Cookeville isn’t just where I live — it’s home. I grew up in Tennessee, graduated from Tennessee Tech, and after years in the corporate world, I made the intentional decision to return to Cookeville to be part of a community that I love. My professional background in business and wholesale has given me a strong understanding of budgets, accountability, and long-term planning — skills that matter in city government.

I want Cookeville to grow responsibly, support local businesses, invest in infrastructure, and remain a place where families, seniors, and young professionals can thrive. I’m running to ensure decisions are made thoughtfully, voices are heard, and our city continues moving forward — together.

About Cigi

I grew up in Whitwell, Tennessee, where I learned early the value of hard work, knowing your neighbors, and showing up for your community. After graduating from Tennessee Tech University in 2006 with a degree in Human Ecology, I began a career in the fashion, gift and home wholesale industry at AmericasMart in Atlanta. That experience gave me a strong foundation in business, relationships, and understanding what it takes for companies to grow and succeed.
